Every time something controversial erupts from the Sussexes’ end, the first thing that is ever jeopardized, or at least comes to the verge of being jeopardized, is their royal titles. Ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ditched their UK Sovereigns to seek a life abroad, everyone ranging from the royal experts to the UK commoners had demanded revoking of their royal titles. Although the self-exiled couple bid a happy goodbye to their Royal Highnesses’ designations, they rightfully held on to their Dukedoms, that too, in agreement with the palace. 

As reported by British GBNews, a royal expert, has elaborated on how their Duke and Duchess of Sussex titles are always going to remain in their possession. Despite the external forces, it is something that not even the Palace can touch. 

Robert Johnson, the author of Our King Charles III, has said how the newly minted Monarch is firm with the ground rules of the firm. More than a royal inheritance, the late grandmother bestowed it upon the then-newlyweds as a wedding gift. Thus emphasizing the importance of the titles, Johnson said, even if Markle decides to run for the US presidency someday, the stripping of their titles “is just not going to happen“.

Everything that answers this question comes with a great pinch of salt, as nothing has been confirmed this far. The speculations, however, went out of control as Markle recently ran some official works with one associate of former first lady Michelle Obama. Even in the past, the two outspoken women have joined hands in numerous instances to work for the betterment of humankind.

Having met face to face, Michelle Obama was once all praises of the Duchess as soon as their meeting came to a fruitful end. Sharing similar ideologies, both have actively participated in advocating for the rights of women and have taken necessary steps within their authorities over the course of time.
