August brings in a lot for the royal family, both immediate and estranged. While the sovereigns in the UK got both sad and happy tears to shed, the California royals are out on a rollercoaster of a ride. The month was going harsh for the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle until her 42nd birthday turned the tables in a split second. Following Markle’s stunning Posse appearance for the pre-birthday dinner gala, her comeback to Instagram has fed fat the media frenzy. However, the royal family too is feeling the stints at an all-time high. 

As Markle turned 42 on Friday, it reminded the world of another prominent royal famously called, “the most dangerous woman of Europe” Queen Mother Elizabeth on her birthday. However, that is not the only event that highlights this date on the royal calendar. The members at Buckingham had some more flashbacks on the 4th of August. The third significance attached to this date revolves around Markle’s brother-in-law and now-turned arch-nemesis, Prince William. 

As People Magazine reported, the 4th of August marks Prince William’s christening day. Back in the year 1982, the then Archbishop of Canterbury christened the just-born infant Prince at the music room of Buckingham. Reports reveal the now-future King was just six weeks old, born to Princess Diana and Prince Charles. 

His late mother held him in her arms as his father Charles and grandmothers, Queen Elizabeth and Queen Elizabeth II watched on affectionately. The Palace, however, did not show any activity celebrating any of the poignant events here. 

The royal family kept silent as Meghan Markle turned 42

The snub for Meghan Markle by the royal family, especially on her important days, has not always been the norm. While Markle worked in affiliation with the British Crown, the wishes kept coming in. More so, last year and the previous year to it as well, Prince William and Kate Middleton took to their respective social media handles to wish the estranged Duchess. 

The Netflix bombshell and Prince Harry’s tell-all memoir, however, further strained the ties. The royals have seemingly sidelined the Californian royals who were exiled from the Monarchy on their own. The Duke has even expressed his desire to get his father and brother back, however not at the cost of his wife. Markle, along with her closely knit Sussex family, celebrated her birthday in all pomp and show.
