Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Net Worth 2024: How Rich Are the Royals 4 Years After Leaving UK
In recent years, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry seem to have been dealt a losing hand. With the Duke and Duchess of Sussex having a failed Spotify deal and a lack of funds for their Archewell Foundation, the couple seems to have had a rather rocky year. With it being four years since they parted ways with the British Royal family, they have had to cut back on some of their costs after leaving the UK and calling the United States their new home for their family of four.
While the former royals had to rely on their income to take care of their children and their debts, it surprisingly has not taken a large toll on their net worth.

Before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot in 2018, both of them already had their net worths in the millions. With the 39-year-old’s being estimated at around $50 million, his wife’s was at $5 million, thanks to her stint as a Hollywood actress. According to a report from the Mirror, the couple’s current net worth has finally been updated after their move to the United States. The reports stated that their combined net worth has amounted to $60 million, which seemed to have increased since their wedding.
The updated net worth came as a surprise to some, as Markle and her husband were forced to repay the taxpayer costs for the renovations they had done at Frogmore Cottage, their former Windsor home. With the total costs coming up to approximately $2,608,788 and split to $22,818 a month until completely paid in full, the Sussex couple were required to have a steady source of income and a slew of successful projects to keep their net worth up.
While some of Prince Harry and the 42-year-old’s projects and collaborations have not worked out the way they had planned, others have panned out for them.

Ever since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry gave up their royal responsibilities in 2020, they had to fend for themselves. Shortly after their move to the US, the couple ended up signing several deals that could further their now-isolated careers and help them stay afloat. Although it began with a Netflix deal that was worth $100 million, they also managed to strike up another deal with Penguin Random House, the publishing company for 4 books, starting with the 39-year-old's Spare.
While there had been rumors that Markle was planning to put out her bombshell memoir last year, they ended up being shut down when the Sussex couple dived into a book adaptation for the streaming giant. Although some of their projects have proved to be successes like The Heart of Invictus, Harry & Meghan, and even Spare, others like the 42-year-old's Spotify deal ended up falling through. The falling out might have been a mutual agreement, but it did not stop a Spotify executive from later branding the couple as "f***ing grifters".
