Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s High-Profile Colombian Tour Would Check out a Prestigious Music Festival
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are about to set off on their second high-profile tour later this year. It was announced earlier this month that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had been invited to Colombia by the country’s vice president, Francia Marquez. This comes right after their successful trip to Nigeria, which also successfully stirred up much drama among royal experts. No specific dates have been announced for the upcoming four-day Colombian trip. However, a new stop on their tour has recently come to light.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will be mingling with the music world in Colombia in just over a week.

The Las2orillas, an independent Colombian media outlet, recently reported that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry would grace the Pacific Music Festival, Petronio Álvarez, which will begin in just over a week. The music festival, which will see over 2,000 artists, will celebrate the folklore and culture of the Colombian Pacific. It has not been specified which day the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will make their appearance; however, it will certainly fall between August 14 and 19.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will be seen around Bogotá, Cartagena, and Cali with the vice president. The Sussexes will interact with leaders and "discover the rich heritage of Colombia,” as was shared by the Ministry in their statement. The Californian royals will also conduct a conference on the elimination of violence against children. The upcoming Colombian trip, much like the Nigerian one, was speculated to be an alleged faux-royal tour that could have stoked tension in the royal family. Turns out, it has not.
According to recent reports, the senior royals were more concerned about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry popping up elsewhere.

Since the moment Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Colombian trip was announced, fans started wondering how King Charles and Prince William would react. Insiders had suggested earlier that the Prince of Wales was fuming about their Nigerian trip, as it bore many hallmarks of a traditional royal tour. However, Daily Mail's Ephraim Hardcastle recently claimed in a column that the Sussexes’ Colombian trip “won't upset the King and the Prince of Wales”.
The UK royals were more on edge about the Sussexes potentially turning up at the Paris Olympics, where the monarchs are currently cheering on several British competitors. Nonetheless, the Colombian trip has still managed to ruffle some feathers of Windsor loyalists, who have taken issue with the Sussexes for continuing to allegedly portray themselves as British royals.
