Tyler Perry was among the handful of Hollywood A-listers who stood by the royal couple during their toughest phase. And recently, the actor revealed how he helped Prince Harry and Meghan after the devastating split.

When Tyler Perry supported Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 

Back in 2020, when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex left behind the royal family, it was one of the toughest phases of their lives. Amidst the criticism and chaos that surrounded their split, Tyler Perry stood by the couple like a rock. The star even lent the estranged couple his Beverly Hills mansion as they moved to America. In his recent appearance on the Let’s Talk Off Camera podcast, Perry revealed how he enjoyed a great conversation with Markle as the Duchess of Sussex confided in him as if he was her therapist.

The actor added that in the show business, everyone needs to have a safe space where they can talk freely. Perry further claimed how the former Duke and Duchess hid out in his house for months to avoid the negative media. It was a heartwarming gesture from the American actor to have helped the couple. However, Perry revealed that it was a beautiful moment, and he was all to support the two.

While the Sussexes are yet to reply to the actor’s latest statement, they spoke a great deal about Perry in their Netflix documentary.

The critically acclaimed documentary Harry & Meghan featured a great deal of the royal couple speaking of the Madea series. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle expressed immense gratitude and thanked Perry. The Suits actress recalled how Perry reassured the couple that they were safe in his house. Moreover, he was there for them and his house was at their disposal as long as they needed.

He went out of the way, providing the Sussexes with private security and a jet for their travels. However, since then, the Duke and Duchess have changed several houses. Very recently, they vacated the Frogmore cottage and are eyeing a new property in the UK. Even after the couple vacated his house, the trio remain great friends and often speak highly of each other.
