Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Get Blasted Over Affluent Parenting of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet
The past month has been quite troublesome for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, as the royal scrutiny intensified with various allegations targeting them. The catalyst for this increased attention was their trip to Nigeria. Since then, hot topics of debate have ranged from Prince Archie’s birth certificate to Princess Lilibet’s citizenship clauses. The latest criticism focuses on their affluent parenting style, adding to their existing barrel of conflicts.
The Duke and Duchess’ parenting methods came under scrutiny shortly after reports came regarding their schools of selection for their kids.

A royal commentator, Lee Cohen appeared on GB News, recently, criticizing Meghan Markle and Prince Harry for creating a “facade” of commitment to progressive causes. The couple is reportedly considering expensive private schools in Montecito, costing over $51,200 per year. Cohen emphasized that, as philanthropists, they cannot justify spending thousands on their children's education while many families struggle to afford basic necessities.
Cohen believes this move “perpetuates the very systems of privilege that they claim to oppose.” However, Tom Quinn, another royal author, previously stated in January to The Express that their decisions are also influenced by safety concerns. He mentioned that Prince Archie might attend a very “exclusive school” with other celebrity children, as Markle feels Hollywood is a safe environment, having been a part of it for a long time.
The safety of their children has always been the top priority for the Duke and Duchess, which made the latter avoid the UK for long enough. In December, the Prince even addressed the topic in detail.

Recently, Prince Harry has made several trips to the UK, yet notably, none of them have included Meghan Markle and their children even after the Queen’s demise. In December 2023, ITV reported that the Duke contested the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures’ decision to revoke his automatic right to police protection. He aimed to ensure that, when his family visits, safety concerns would be addressed.
Prince Harry emphasized, “The UK is central to the heritage of my children, and I want them to feel as at home there as they do in the United States.” He alluded to Princess Diana’s tragic car chase incident to highlight the perceived inadequacy of safety measures, citing this as the reason for not bringing their children to the UK. Given the Prince lost the ruling, it appears appropriate that they are willing to travel the distance to ensure their children’s safety, especially during their formative years at school.
