Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may have taken a new road away from their royal duties. But their duty to the world and its people still remains at the forefront. The Sussexes’ commitment to global well-being is something that even the naysayers can not refute. Over the years, they have been delving into a range of significant concerns that are on the rise. Recently, the Duke and the Duchess took on another subject that has been gaining a lot of traction.

On World Mental Health Day, the Sussexes made a promise to make the online world a safer place to dwell in. And as per the latest report from The Archewell Foundation, it is safe to say that they are sticking to their word.

For a year, the Sussexes, through their charity organization, have been conversing with people within the age bracket of 13-24, to understand their perspective on social media. They have also been taking inputs from parents to fathom their outlook on life in the digital age. After a year of “structured discussions”, the Archewell Foundation released its first insight report that included all the “key takeaways” from their conversations. This report came just a few days after the Sussexes held a summit to address this subject.

Markle and the Prince conducted the first summit of their non-profit charity organization, The Archewell Foundation, to celebrate World Mental Health Day. At the summit, the Californian natives highlighted the adverse effects of social media on children. The purpose of the summit was to find ways of making the online space better and safer for the youth. It also gave a platform to the parents to voice their concerns and be heard on a broader scale.

This urged Hutson to appreciate the Sussexes saying, “I think this is great, this is Harry and Meghan fulfilling the promise” during a live interview by GB News. When the host, Dan Wooton, cross-questioned Hutson about why she feels that way, she said, “This is them actually funding causes”.
