Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may have ditched their royal crowns years ago, but the regal experts are still clinging to them like they are the last life raft on the Titanic. While not every expert takes a swing at the Sussexes, most of them do give them the ultimate side-eye for just about everything they do. Claims were already making their star power seem in a steady decline, and every day brings fresh gossip that feeds the frenzy. Recently, yet another expert weighed in, suggesting the duo is struggling to keep up with the fast-paced Hollywood hustle while chasing their American dream.

To top it off, the latest expert chatter has just recruited another member for the Sussexes’ critic fan club.

Royal expert and historian Hugo Vickers recently stressed to The Sun about the “high-energy, competitive world” of Hollywood, suggesting that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry might be in over their heads. He believes that "cracks" are already developing in their American dream, even though they initially lived the good life. While Vickers somewhat acknowledged Markle's experience navigating the Hollywood chaos, having been part of that scene, he was not so sure about the Prince.

Vickers even reignited the claim about Markle being dubbed “Duchess Difficult” by the Windsor staff years ago, a label that resurfaced after the Sussexes faced some Hollywood drama following their chief of staff’s departure. With their current staff seemingly on board, the expert pointed out that their vibes can swing from super generous when the going is good to revealing their “true side” when the pressure hits.

The Hollywood Reporter recently highlighted a trend of American advisors making a speedy exit from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s inner circle. This comes on the heels of Josh Kettler, their chief of staff based in Santa Barbara, resigning after just three months on the job. Kettler is the latest member to join the “Sussex Survivors Club,” as the ex-employees like to call it.

A source close to the Sussexes even outlined how the Sussexes rarely play well with advice. The report also mentioned Toya Holness, their global secretary who left in 2022, and Christine Weil Schirmer, the former Pinterest communications director who quit as their PR head in 2021. While Markle’s team has stepped up to defend her against claims of mistreatment, the royal circle seems stringent on their own theories on the matter.
