The Duke and the Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are trying their best to balance out their loss with new gains. However, the fiasco around the David Beckham split that set ablaze a slew of others in its trail has gotten out of hand. Soon after the Beckhams furiously cut ties with the Sussexes, bosom buddy George Clooney also turned against the couple. But little did Markle know an enormous snub was headed her way. Known as Markle’s top celebrity friend, Serena Williams might have just put the Duchess down. 

Post the fallout with Sussexes, the football star along with wife, Victoria Beckham took to Florida, having a good time with a myriad of well-known public figures in the industry. Joining their fold were stars like the makeup mogul Kim Kardashian and the tennis champion Serena Williams, The News reported. Kanye West’s former wife and Markle’s long-time ally, dropped by Lionel Messi’s debut game for Inter Miami. 

Having snubbed her best friend, Meghan Markle, the 23-time Grand Slam winner, Serena Williams was spotted cheering in support of Beckham’s team last week for the Miami club. She was one among many on the front lines at stands with Kardashian, who brought in her seven-year-old son to take delight in the game.

This snub stands out among the rest since Williams was no ordinary ally of Markle.

An insight into the long-standing friendship between Serena Williams and Meghan Markle

Their friendship dates back to Super Bowl XLIV of the New Orleans Saints versus the Indianapolis Colts in 2010. Having enjoyed the game to its fullest, paparazzi snapped a young Meghan Markle, laughing her heart out to the legendary tennis champion. A few more super bowls and matches together that both the tennis enthusiasts were “hitting” off immediately in public. 

Having had each other’s maximum support, Serena Williams famously attended Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in 2018. As tensions took over the House of Windsor, Williams became a frequent supporter of the Duchess. From sharing life advice and boosting her endeavors on social media, she did it all. Post the infamous Oprah Winfrey interview, Williams reportedly took to Instagram to pen a touching post for the Duchess 

The last encounter between the two dates to last year’s August. Williams appeared as one of the first guests on Markle’s much-talked-about Podcast Archetypes.
