Meghan Markle and Prince Harry recently stepped out for a visit to Godmothers, a new bookstore near their Montecito home. According to Vanity Fair, the Duchess chose a new necklace for the outing, which cost her approximately $30,000. This piece is the Logan Hollowell Fortuna tennis necklace, made of 18k yellow gold and embellished with lab-grown diamonds. The official Logan Hollowell website also revealed that the design is inspired by the Roman goddess Fortuna and features a variety of diamond cuts, including hearts, emeralds, and pears.

The necklace also comes with some deep meaning. The Logan Hollowell site noted that the diamonds are meant to symbolize good fortune that lies ahead- which means that the wearer is blessed with a touch of "divine luck" wherever life takes them. And Meghan Markle might just be especially in need of that "divine luck," given the recent ups and downs in her career.

Last month, a source told PEOPLE that Meghan Markle’s lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, was finally set to launch later this year, despite all the issues it faced with trademarking earlier. But just as things seemed to be looking up, the USPTO suddenly put the brand on hold. They explained that geographic locations, like the American Riviera, cannot be trademarked.

This was the second time Meghan Markle’s trademark application was turned down. Markle's first application was rejected because the Duchess had not allegedly paid $11,382 in international fees and had a few paperwork problems. The USPTO is also not passing the application because of Markle being too vague about the products, which could fit into multiple trademark categories. With so many hurdles in her path, even the faintest glimmer of "divine luck" might just be worth the price of a $30,000 jewelry piece.
