After Superman and Geralt of Rivia, the Henry Cavill fandom is making an enormous deal for the actor’s spy role in the upcoming movie Argylle. However, before the film could even hit the big screens, the British star faced a lot of backlash with his hairstyle in the flick. But it also made fans curious to witness Cavill as an action star in the Matthew Vaughn flick. Looking at the trailer, there is some amusing confusion about the plot and the overall presentation of the narrative.

It seems the director has successfully caught fans’ attention with this small clip from the film. However, he also revealed why fans must wait for the entire film as the trailer is just not enough.

In a recent podcast episode of Happy Sad Confused, Matthew Vaughn expressed his enthusiasm for the movie while talking with host Josh Horowitz. The 52-year-old director addressed those who loved the trailer and said, “You guys have seen nothing yet.”

Vaughn was discussing how he told Universal Studios to just “use the first 28 minutes of the film’, and they stuck to those rules.” The Layer Cake director directly teased the unexpected and exciting journey that lay ahead for the audience in Argylle. Vaughn, interestingly, revealed this was the part that he was excited about the most. The reason was to give fans only a tiny glimpse to make them restless enough.

Apart from Henry Cavill’s hair meme fest, the trailer also sparked talks about the movie being a meta-fictional. Fortunately, Vaughn explained the complexities surrounding the confusion with a brilliant example.

There have been many controversies going on around the existence of the book Argylle. However, the truth is the film is based on an unpublished fourth book in a series by real author Elly Conway. Talking about the meta-fictional adventure of the film, Vaughn brought in the Harry Potter book.
