This upcoming Christopher Nolan flick, Oppenheimer, is one such recent movie that is making fans uncontrollably excited. Fans are pre-booking the tickets, imagining the experience of watching it in the theater. However, for some, the Friday release seems to trigger nostalgia. Matt Damon is one among those, with the forthcoming movie reminding him of an Oscar-winning director’s works.

Every film genre has a specific person attached to it who is quite iconic and has contributed significantly to it as well. The imminent Christopher Nolan film, Oppenheimer, is an epic true-to-life thriller. The film is based on the 2005-published American Prometheus by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin, which talks about J. Robert Oppenheimer, aka the Father of the Atomic bomb. While the movie created quite a sensation before its release, the cast of the film, including Matt Damon, talks about it to The Hollywood Reporter.

While talking about the making of it, Damon talked about how this film reminded him of Oliver Stone films. He added people used to make films like Oppenheimer in the ’90s. The 52-year-actor compared the hype of this 2023 film with classics from Stone. When any Oliver Stone film would come out, fans would feel the undeniable urge to watch the film, no matter what. 

Because each and everyone was talking about it, one would have to watch the film. The atmosphere before the release of this epic biopic felt the same for Damon. Although, according to the Academy Award-winning actor, movies like those had disappeared from multiplexes. But why are fans so hyped about this film?

The focus of the upcoming film will be to showcase the life of J. Robert Oppenheimer, an American theoretical physicist, and his crucial involvement in the development of the atomic bomb during the Second World War.

It stars the Peaky Blinders star, Cillian Murphy as the lead, who also revealed the funniest name of the cast’s WhatsApp group. The film is also going to feature Robert Downey Jr., Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Josh Hartnett, Florence Pugh, Casey Affleck, and many more.
