Transitioning from Marvel to the DC Universe in November 2022, James Gunn sent ripples of mixed emotions through both the studio’s communities. His decision to replace Henry Cavill with a younger Superman was met with a lot of criticism. But that decision was just the start of what would become a controversial start to his tenure with DC. 

The Guardians of the Galaxy director has also been criticized for casting past and present Marvel actors for Superman: Legacy. Following Gunn’s footsteps of casting Marvel actors, a Twitter user re-imagined one actor as DCU’s Batman. The art revolution brought about by AI-generated images has proven quite tricky to navigate. But boy has it given us some gems in making our imaginations come to life, like this.

The AI-generated images of Fawad Khan as Batman instantly caught netizens’ attention. The Pakistani actor was recently seen in Ms Marvel by MCU, portraying Kamala’s great-grandfather, Hasan. This re-imagination of Gotham’s protector by user Saboor Akram sent the Twitter universe into a whirlwind. Considering how convincing the Pakistani star looked as the Dark Knight, it was no wonder that the South Asian community instantly fell in love.

The Batman franchise too is expecting to see Gunn versions of the Dark Knight in The Brave and The Bold soon. A viral tweet that depicts another Marvel actor as Batman could not come at a more awkward time. Especially since the exodus that saw Marvel actors David Harbour, Frank Grillo, and Maria Bakalova also move to DC. But the online community seems to be all for this actor to play the hero that Gotham deserves.

Fans are loving Fawad Khan as the caped crusader 

Looking effortlessly perfect for the role, Fawad Khan is an impressive-looking man. Seeing him in this avatar made fans wonder if this scenario was plausible in real life. One user even went as far to say “I’d honestly rather watch Fawad Khan as Batman over Robert Pattinson.“

While one user was rendered speechless, another was quick to say they want to live in a world where Khan is Batman.

One fan of the actor even had a hilarious concern over Khan’s face getting hidden under the superhero’s mask!
