Margot Robbie Reveals She Doesn’t Want to Converse With Lady Gaga About Her Harley Quinn Role for This Surprising Reason
Margot Robbie’s electrifying portrayal as Harley Quinn in Birds of Prey and the Suicide Squad captivated millions of fans cementing her place among the most versatile actresses in show business. But the baton is now being passed to musical powerhouse Lady Gaga in the upcoming film Joker: Folie à Deux. However, Robbie is not willing to dish out acting tips to her successor as would have expected her to do so. Gracing the same at the Golden Globes this year, she said how she wants to be rather surprised by Gaga’s portrayal of Quinn instead of sharing her secrets.

“I almost don’t want to know so I can save it for a surprise when I see the movie,” she added. The actress also shed light on how she is confident that Lady Gaga will nail the same. Robbie dressed up as the Superstar-Barbie from 1977 in her pink Armani ensemble. The two-time Oscar-nominated star has previously talked about another female star taking over this iconic role to Variety.
In the interview, she expressed her excitement about Harley Quinn getting passed on and that there will more versions of the character. The Babylon actor said she never felt possessive over playing the superhero role. Instead, she knew that the character had the potential to take “many different directions”. While Margot Robbie has set her eyes on the release date to witness Gaga’s performance, the director of Joker: Folie à Deux has been intriguing the interest of fans with his teases on social media.

The film completed shooting last year in April and during that time several glimpses of the actors from the sets dropped online like the ‘Bad Romance’ singer’s spotting in New York City. The creators have kept the plotline of the sequel under wraps and it seems viewers and Margot Robbie will watch the performance of Gaga in theatres on October 4, 2024.
