‘Madagascar’ Meets Will Smith at Oscars Slapgate in a Fan-Made Video
It has almost been a year since the time Will Smith left everyone in shock as he rushed to the stage to slap Chris Rock. We are no strangers to the fact that the slapgate is perhaps one of the most infamous moments from the Oscars. Not only did the incident tarnish Smith’s reputation in the film industry, it even took a toll on his career. The producers and directors sidelined a number of his upcoming projects as well. Even after all these months, the slapgate is still a hot topic on social media. And recently, a hilarious crossover between the incident and Madagascar surfaced online.
As we all know, the Will Smith-Chris Rock Oscar slap gate is still in the limelight owing to the fame and stardom that surrounded it. Countless controversies, rumors, and even hilarious edits evolved out of it. The internet could not hold itself back with memes on the slapgate flooding everyone’s timeline. Similarly, a fan-made a hilarious edit of the infamous Oscar slap recently bringing in characters from iconic film series Madagascar. A Twitter user, Mike D Sayre, shared an edit featuring Rock as Marty. Many of you might know that Rock voiced the hilarious zebra in the animated movie.

The 38 second long teaser had a hilarious ending as well. Towards the end of the clip, we saw Smith yelling out, “Keep My Wife’s name out of your F***kn mouth.” We saw the entire Madagascar cast Alex, Marty, Melman the Giraffe and the Hippo hugging each other, worried after seeing Smith yell.
The clip was hilarious to say the least seeing the Men In Black actor alongside the Madagascar characters. However, not long ago, even AI recreated the Oscar slapgate showing the audience Rock’s point of view of the infamous Oscar night.
Perhaps the inspiration behind the Madagascar-slapgate crossover clip could be Rock’s references of the animated film in his latest Netflix special.

How Chris Rock referenced Madagascar in his comedy special while addressing the Oscar slap gate
As we all know, not long ago, Chris Rock released a comedy special on Netflix. This was the first time the comedian came out in the open to address the slap gate. Unsurprisingly, the comedy special was full of jibes and digs at the Men In Black actor. And during the same, Rock even referenced his role in the cartoon film Madagascar as well.

During his special, Rock spoke about how his role in animated films was a Zebra, while Smith played a shark. Back in 2004, the actor played a shark in the movie Shark Tale.
