Prince Harry and Prince William have drifted apart from each other ever since the Megxit. But the rift between the royal brothers has become the hottest debate lately. Royal biographer Omid Scobie recently revealed that they are still not on speaking terms. The hurt and anger between the two have only made this more complicated. In fact, the author also claimed that their relationship has come to the point where it is beyond repair.

The writer might have noted these things now, but the Duke of Sussex had an explosive thought about his older brother long before these statements which he revealed Spare.

Prince Harry once pinpointed the bitter row with Prince William

In his memoir Spare, Prince Harry made several astounding revelations about his relations with the royal family. It included an incident that took place when he returned to the UK for the funeral of the late Prince Philip. He wrote that he and his estranged brother Prince William started arguing after they reunited, along with their father King Charles. “All at once, something shifted inside of me. I looked at Willy, really looked at him, maybe for the first time since we were boys,” he described.

He also noted the frowning expression of his sibling towards him and his resemblance to their late mother, which had faded over the years. The father of two released at that moment that they were opposite in some ways, while in others they were quite similar. During the heated argument, the Duke of Cambridge also expressed his wish for his brother to always stay happy.

The royal siblings were estranged from high school 

In January 2023, Prince Harry sat down with Anderson Cooper to talk about his explosive memoir Spare. In their 60-minute interview, he touched on the deeply personal stories he shared in the book about his brother. He cleared the air on the assumptions that his wife, Meghan Markle, was the reason for their fractured relationship. According to him, it started when they were young after their mother Diana passed away in a car accident.

The former military officer revealed even though they went to the same school, Prince Willaim told him to pretend like they did not know each other. “Yeah, and at the time, it hurt. I couldn’t make sense of it. I was like, ‘What do you mean?” he recalled. He wanted to spend time with his brother and only got more distance instead of partnership or love.
