A fan took to their X handle to express their delight in the movie Nosferatu, stating how they "thought lily rose depp was a bad actress" but then they watched the movie and had a change of heart. While Depp was taking the fall all this while, after a complete reevaluation, a fan blamed The Idol director Sam Levinson for hindering Lily-Rose Depp's talent, citing Robert Eggers' direction in Nosferatu as a highlight of her abilities.   

Fans claimed that Levinson's involvement, and Abel's drag and not Depp's acting, was the reason for their disappointment. In their love for Nosferatu, fans have unanimously concluded that Levinson's direction was the reason behind The Idol hate.
