King Charles’s coronation concert is finally in good hands. After months of chasing down top-tier global music icons and getting snubbed by the same, the soon-to-be king has now got his concert game sorted. Thanks to the centerpiece of the event, Katy Perry, who first came to rescue the momentous occasion from being a no-show. Along with Perry, the royal ceremony will also host other prime-time renowned singers. Nonetheless, Katy Perry seems to have some special privileges coming her way.

Daily Mail published in its recent issue that Katy Perry has agreed to perform at the coronation concert that is due on the night after the coronation service at Westminster Abbey. Although this served the purpose of the administration to flatter their guests at the royal finale, it also had to do something with her work altogether. The British Daily reports that the singer evidently wants to highlight her work before the world.

For those unversed, the singer is also an Ambassador of the British Asian Trust. The role was vested in her hands by the King himself in the year 2020. Not only Perry, but hitmaker Lionel Richie, too, has known the king for years while serving as the First Global Ambassador and First Chairman of the Global Ambassador’s group for the Prince’s trust. Therefore, the American Idol judges have been well in touch with the king.

Katy Perry, thus leading the concert line-up at King Charles’ coronation, has two birds down in a single shot. A couple of weeks ago, the BBC announced the line of performers on the stage on May 6th. Along with Perry, stars like Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Andrea Bocelli have also highlighted the lineup. The list, however, does not end there. It further includes the British pop group Take That, plus UK talent Sir Bryn Terfel, Freya Ridings, and Alexis Ffrench.

This roster of performers came after a month’s hunt down that saw top music Titans like Adele, Harry Styles, Ed Sheeran, and others turning their back at the King’s invitation. While Adele and the ‘Shape of You’ star gave the reasons for crashing schedules, the Don’t Worry Darling star did not have a valid reason for turning down the king’s request.
