With the cracks in the royal family widening with each passing day, King Charles and Meghan Markle lie at the far ends of the two poles. While the Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, might still have some strings attached, there seems to be no chance of reconciliation between the King and the estranged Duchess. Following the royal split, there have hardly been any royal appearances of the Duchess with the Duke’s family. Following Queen Elizabeth’s funeral, Meghan Markle has not stepped into the royal premises ever since. However, despite the bitter ties, some still have a hope of making amends between the families. 

In the royal roundup with Daily Express, royal expert Richard Palmer believes the end is not here, yet. Elaborating further, he believed that although Markle might have her indifferences, King Charles seeks the complete opposite on the other hand. Palmer is of the opinion that despite the growing distances, “the King would welcome them back.” In fact, he also added how he is “quite keen to heal that family rift”. Nonetheless, the struggles to keep things in place are vividly noticeable.

Given the inconsistent advances from the Sussexes, the King might need his time to keep the family in order. In the past few months, the Duke has been to the UK quite a number of times. His high-profile legal crusade against the rapacious media took all the front page. However, none led to a family meet-up at Buckingham. Nonetheless, their supposed interactions between the King and the Duchess quite prove that the two might extend olive branches, if not now then later in the future.
