While Prince William's legacy has flourished within the royal family's walls, his brother's branch has struggled to take root, never managing to stay in one place for more than a couple of months. Although Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appear unfazed by it, senior members at Buckingham Palace are said to be rueing the decision to cut ties with the Sussexes. Not for the rogue royal but for their kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, who also carry the royal blood but are miles apart from the royal continent. 

As per the latest updates, King Charles, the monarch grandfather of the Sussex children, is seemingly fighting his impatience to meet his distant grandkids. 

According to an exclusive report by Mirror, royal expert Tom Quinn claims, King Charles has been in talks about making an official visit to the United States in the future. Quinn revealed, "There is no doubt if it goes ahead he would build in time to visit his youngest son and his grandchildren." This potential visit would be a significant development in the King's relationship with his younger grandson and granddaughter, whom he has only met a handful of times.

King Charles is believed to be eager to strengthen his bond with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, who are currently residing in Montecito with their parents. Despite occasional video calls, the distance has reportedly left the King feeling “frustrated” and eager for a more substantial connection with his grandchildren. With Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis getting the most out of King Charles, the distance from the Sussexes feels all the more notable.

According to the report, Tom Quinn gave a heads-up of how the potential US visit would require significant planning. He said that there is a lot of planning that needs to be done before this visit even becomes a "remote possibility.” However, it could mark an important step in bridging the gap between the King and his younger grandchildren. Thus, if the monarch makes up his mind, a visit to the grandkids across the sea does not seem impossible. 

King Charles, who has made private visits to countries like Transylvania therefore, may secretly visit Prince Harry and his family in California. Previous reports too also prove the King's eagerness to spend time with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, fearing they would forget him as a warm and friendly grandfather if he did not. It seems that the 74-year-old monarch might visit the US sooner than ever to bridge the distance and build a meaningful relationship with his younger grandchildren.
