King Charles Has Got a New Host for the Coronation Concert With a Special Connection to Queen Elizabeth
The United Kingdom is celebrating its royal season with all pomp and show. After scrounging through a lot of Hollywood bigwigs, King Charles and Queen Camilla have finally got their coronation concert sorted. The hunt for the stars to perform on the big day had put the Palace in a fit of pique. However, with the latest developments, the monarchy has got some amazing line of music Titans performing at his crowning ceremony. More so, the King has even successfully secured a very special host for the concert with a deep-seated connection with his late mum, Queen Elizabeth II.
In its latest updates about the royals and their whereabouts, BBC announced as various publications report that the Downton Abbey star Hugh Bonneville will take the center stage at King Charles’ coronation. Along with the several new performers set to play their roles at the historic event, the famous actor will reportedly host the grand occasion with the entire world watching him.

While giving a detailed account of what exactly the concert would look like, BBC enlisted all the separate collegiums who will entertain the audience at the grand event. The host meanwhile confesses he’s “delighted to be taking part in this unique event, celebrating the best of musical entertainment in honor of His Majesty’s coronation“. Taking the helm for the evening, the star would introduce to the guests of thousands the different artists who would take on the stage.

Hugh Bonneville is known for most of his works, but his top achievements of all time continue to be Downton Abbey and the Paddington Films. Interestingly, as People reports, in the latter, the former monarch Queen Elizabeth II had memorably starred alongside the Paddington Bear. This was one of the rare cases where the Queen of the United Kingdom starred in a skit for the celebration of her own platinum Jubilee in 2022.
