The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, and her decision to stay back home on King Charles’ Coronation has once again brought her to the headlines of tabloids. While Buckingham Palace was pleased to announce Prince Harry’s attendance on his father’s big day without Markle, it seems like someone else in the family is quite disheartened about the same. Nonetheless, the controversies have been relentless to this day. However, the monarch, who always bore a soft corner for the Duchess, is not happy with her decision.

As reported by The Sun, the King is glad that his youngest, Prince Harry, will make it to the event of his lifetime. “He is happy that his darling boy will be at the Abbey,” said the sources to the outlet. Nevertheless, expressing regret over the Duchess’ absence, the King apparently “is very disappointed that he won’t see Meghan or his grandchildren.” However, he understands the situation, the outlet further added.

Speaking of grandchildren, the Firm’s decision to fix King Charles’ Coronation on the same day as Prince Archie’s birthday was met with a lot of criticism. His estranged grandson, who will be turning four this year, will not have his father Prince Harry for obvious reasons. The Duke will be flying for over 5000 miles from his Californian estate to Westminster Abbey. Meanwhile, Marke will take care of their children back in the USA. The Duchess has decided to be a mother first, and then be the institution’s daughter-in-law, considering his son’s big day.

While claiming the King’s reaction to Meghan Markle’s “snub,” it also got back to the time, King Charles walked her down the aisle. As Markle’s estranged father could not make it to her wedding, her father-in-law took the spot walking him up to Prince Harry. The same has undoubtedly been one of the sweetest gestures in the royal family legacy.
