King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla Bring Smiles to Primary School Children as They Are Spotted for Their First Outing Since Coronation

King Charles and Queen Consort in the latest portraits released from their crowning ceremony with their Robe of State and Sovereign’s Orb and Sovereign’s Sceptre Cross and crowns in billions look like a page from a history book. The visual delicacy that was King Charles’ coronation, albeit magnificent to the eye, was a stark contrast to the image that King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla have always worked to create. A modern monarchy. And they are wasting no time ensuring people that it is still the pledge they believe in as they surprised crowds at Covent Garden in London.

The royal couple marked their first joint trip post-coronation after barely a week’s rest. But the vacation seems to have done them wonders, as they smiled gleefully while interacting with the unsuspecting crowd.

The head of the monarch, along with his wife, sat between dozens of lawmakers as he visited the Parliament before finally sealing the deal on the 6th of May. Post-coronation, however, things seem to be a lot brighter and relaxed as King Charles stepped out with Queen Camilla right behind while making their way from the Convent Garden in London to The Apple Market.

The royal couple seemed to have a knack for wearing matching blue outfits as they dawned the color again. The style, however, was much more casual given the day that lay ahead of them. Unlike most of their visits, Queen Consort Camilla alongside the King got up close with the crowd, who were surprised by the unannounced visit. Albeit unannounced, the new sovereign of Britain took home many meaningful insights.

Perhaps the beautiful beige heels that she paired with her sky-blue coat held her back. But even her heels could not hold her back as she met with the Drama for Healing group at St. Paul’s Church, their first spot of the day. Queen Consort Camilla’s excitement was evident as she heard the group’s impact on women who have suffered from domestic abuse. A cause very dear to the Queen Consort.

They also met students of St. Clement Danes CE Primary School who were bedazzled after seeing their king and queen just an arm’s length from them. And King Charles further ensured a page about him in their diaries as he shook their hands one by one. Before wrapping up their outing, they met the stallholders and pioneers of the Royal Opera House and Royal Ballet School.
