Word on the streaming street is she is stepping into a brand-new spotlight with a fresh Hulu series.

So, the real question is: with the camera lens already zoomed deep into their daily lives, what new angle is this Kardashian bringing to the table this time?

During Hulu’s Get Real House event, Disney reality chief Rob Mills revealed Khloé Kardashian and the family are developing Calabasas Behind the Gates, a new reality series for the platform. Scott Disick attended the event with Kardashian (via Deadline). The news comes three years after The Kardashians premiered on the streamer. “It’s very exciting, very new, very excellent,” Kardashian teased while speaking on the panel on April 22.

Calabasas Behind the Gates will follow Kardashian-Jenners’ friends and neighbors, who live in the gated, posh Calabasas, California, community. The reality star remained tight-lipped about the cast and whether her sisters, Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Kylie, and Kendall Jenner, or her mother, Kris Jenner, and brother Rob Kardashian, would be part of the project. Disick also chose to stay mum on the topic.

While Khloé Kardashian carefully avoided the cast details of Calabasas Behind the Gates, she hoped for a family member to return to her other Hulu series, The Kardashians.

Khloé Kardashian was unbelievably silent about Calabasas Behind the Gates and for good reasons. However, following the surprises, love, and anticipation that arrived with The Kardashians season 6, she could not help but hope Rob Kardashian returns to the show in the future (via E! News). “I really do. I always have my faith and confidence in Rob,” Khloé Kardashian said. 

Kardashian also confirmed that if her brother returns to reality TV with The Kardashians, he, like the rest of the kin, always gets paid equally. That said, a point of commonality between Calabasas Behind the Gates and The Kardashians is the producer: Fulwell73. Calabasas Behind the Gates follows The Kardashians season 6 wrap on Hulu, which will return for season 7, having been renewed for two seasons in July 2024.
