Kevin Hart Invites Will Smith for an Interview One Year After the Oscar Slapgate
It is often said that Hollywood is a cutthroat industry. An unforgiving business where one slip-up drags you into a dark pit, and supporting this downfall will be people you once called fans and celebrities you once called friends. This seemed to be the case with Will Smith after what came to be known as the Oscar Slapgate. And while he was equally to blame for the kerfuffle that unfolded, there was one who stood by him throughout Kevin Hart.
The comedian-turned-rapper made a decision to support the actor who was once believed to be the pride and joy of the black community. And while he did not support his actions, he pushed people to make room for redemption. A year later, his pursuit seems to be ongoing as he invites Will Smith on his talk show.

If there is one thing to know about Kevin Hart, it is that he may fall short in the height department, but his list of celebrity friends is long. This is what makes his Peacock exclusive talk show, Hart to Hart, a cut above the rest. As it heads towards a Season 3, the esteemed guest lists boasted of his long-time friend and recently turned popular meme, Will Smith. Given how the interview consists of wine and Hart’s ability to never make the other person feel small (pun intended), fans are hoping for some candid confessions.
It seems through the promising trailer of the upcoming season that Will Smith may be among the first guests. The trailer also consists of him talking about what convinced him to make two back-to-back alien movies.
While he does not mention the Oscar slap, given how Kevin Hart called him the GOAT in front of Chris Rock, Smith may be willing to let loose in favor of giving his friend an exclusive. Especially given their years-long friendship.
How long has Kevin Hart been friends with the Men In Black actor?
The 43-year-old comedian, through his unhinged joke and top-notch expressions, paved the way for black comedians into the mainstream. However, he believes that it would not have been possible had Will Smith not already been ‘Gettin’ Jiggy’ with major box office successes and chart-topping tracks.

This is why he asked the world to back up when Will Smith took the biggest fall of his career. The two heavyweights have even decided to work on the remake of the 1987 classic Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. It is unclear when this friendship first budded, but it seems to be only growing stronger over the years.
