Will Smith may be fighting Keanu Reeves in I Am Legend 2. The successful franchise had been part of discussions for a long time. Keanu Reeves joins Will Smith and Michael B. Jordan in this major role

We have known the John Wick actor for being a star that can never be hated. From Matrix to I Am Legend, he has fought against evil and helped humanity survive. But according to Giant Freakin Robot, Keanu Reeves will probably play the antagonist in I Am Legend 2. Now there are several possibilities regarding his role and the storyline. He could play as a leader of the Darkseeker or the leader of leftover humans who ends up in a rivalry with Smith. So far, details on his character name and exact role are not out yet.

Michael B. Jordan, on the other hand, is said to be playing the Darkseeker. Darkseekers are undead vampire-like beings. They were humans who turned into mutants as a result of a virus in the post-apocalyptic world that Smith’s character fights against. It will also be the first time for B. Jordan and Smith to be acting and co-producing a movie together.

The first part was a super success, although the story ended with Smith’s character blowing into pieces. But the second part could act as an alternate ending for viewers.

A look into I Am Legend’s story

I Am Legend revolved around the lead character, Dr. Robert Neville. He finds himself on a journey to look for other humans after a virus ends up turning most of its survivors into villains. As he looks for fellow humans, he faces the Darkseekers alone. While the first movie shows him as being dead, the second part is allegedly closer to the original source and will show an alternative ending. It will be seen what the sequel brings being inspired by the 1954 novel by Richard Matheson.
