In a recent interview with CBS News, Keanu Reeves was asked about the possibility of another John Wick movie. While he is not completely shutting the door on the idea of suiting up one last time, the 60-year-old actor admits that his body might not be able to handle another action-packed ride. “You can never say never,” Reeves said, "but my knees right now are saying, ‘You can’t do another John Wick'".
Reeves, who will be appearing in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 next, also shared a story on The Late Show about a nasty knee injury he got while filming Good Fortune. And just a month ago, Chad Stahelski, the director behind the John Wick franchise, admitted that coming up with a fifth movie would be a tricky challenge—and they would need a solid idea to make it work. But there are still some ways the story could continue.
The ending of John Wick 4, in particular, left a pretty big clue that a fifth movie could still happen. Stahelski even teased that the ending was deliberately ambiguous, leaving the door wide open for another chapter.
John Wick 5 might just be on the horizon (If Keanu Reeves' knees can take it)
John Wick 4 was originally meant to be the grand finale of the franchise. But, at the end of the film, Winston Scott visits Wick’s gravestone, which happens to be next to the one for his late wife, Helen. As Scotting walks away, Wick’s dog is seen staring at something off in the distance, which led fans to wonder if the dog was looking at Wick. Stahelski recently explained to The Hollywood Reporter that they could have filmed the funeral scene a different way, but they decided to keep things a little more open-ended.

Stahelski has also been on record admitting that he is totally open to making another John Wick movie—so long as they have the right story and are not just trying to cash in on a popular franchise. But with Keanu Reeves' thoughts on whether his body can handle another round of high-octane action, it is still uncertain if a John Wick 5 starring the man himself is really in the cards.
