Katy Perry Voices Her Excitement and the Reason Why She Is Looking Forward to the Coronation Concert at King Charles Ill’s Ceremony
Not only the United Kingdom but also the entire world is looking forward to the coronation ceremony of King Charles III. The ceremony will be held on the 6th of May 2023 at Westminster Abbey in London. During the ceremony, the King will be crowned alongside Camilla, the Queen Consort. Also, there will be other events to celebrate this big day as well. Among these many events at the Coronation ceremony, Katy Perry will be seen performing in the concert.
The King appointed Perry in 2020 to the British Asian Trust. Since then, the American singer-songwriter has had a connection with the Royals. Now, after the Coronation ceremony, she will perform at the concert on the 7th of May, 2023, at the grounds of Windsor Castle. The pop singer expressed her excitement as reported by the Pop Base.

The singer said she was excited to help to shine a better light on the British Asian Trust’s Children’s Protection Fund. Perry also revealed the aim and work of this foundation. Not only this American pop singer but also there are many artists who would perform on the same day. For instance, Italian opera singer Andrea Bocelli, Welsh bass-baritone Sir Bryn Terfel, and Freya Ridings. And as BBC News reported, the theme of the concert is going to be respect, love, and optimism.
King Charles III will have a special guest at the Coronation ceremony
Besides the royal family, those attending will include the prime minister, representatives from the Houses of Parliament, heads of state, and other royals from around the world. Moreover, despite all the differences, the King wished for his USA-based family’s presence at the huge celebration as well.

Recently, Prince Harry put rest to all the speculations by confirming his presence at the ceremony. However, his wife, Meghan Markle, will not be present during the coronation as she would stay back at home. Well, this will officially mark the first-ever return of Prince Harry to the royal family function after the publication of his memoir, Spare.
Surprisingly enough, the date of the coronation and the birthday of the Sussexes’ baby, Archie, is the same. However, the mother and children would stay in the USA while the author of Spare would mark his presence at the King’s coronation ceremony.
