“United we stand, divided we fall.” The phrase stands as a colloquial mirror to the real world at a time when global issues are less than pleasing. Moreover, it will never be truer for Britain’s royal family, who is passing through one of its riveting phases of separation. The warring dispute between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s front against all the other royals combined gives rise to new dynamics of shifting tides of public opinion each new day. Standing as the face of Buckingham Palace are Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, who are more than miffed at the estranged couple.

Fresh statements made by a noted royal affairs author have once again brought to the fore a further rift in an ever-widening rupture.

Kate Middleton talked less with and more about Meghan Markle

The relations between the two royal factions would stoop to an unsettling new low after Prince Harry debuted his memoir, Spare. The explosively charged book would lather the claim that Kate Middleton made Meghan Markle “cry” over bridesmaid dresses. Months later, a close friend of the Sussexes stated to the French Magazine, Paris Match, fresh allegations about the Duchess of Cambridge from the past. “She [Kate] spent more time talking about Meghan… than with Meghan.” 

The source continued that the two women have not maintained formal communications since 2019. Finally, it also claimed that “Every time she hears about Meghan, Kate shudders and giggles.” Bridging the gap between these two claims is royal affairs author Omid Scobie, who claims in his upcoming book, Endgame that even Prince William considered his brother an “outsider”. All of it points to an ever more strained relationship between the two royal households. At the forefront of this also lies the two Duchesses’ spiraling relations.

Scobie’s recent claim comes on the back of another close one, which had him levying another shocking one.

In Prince Harry and Prince William’s relationship, there is no going back

On the backs of his book releasing on the 28th of November, Scobie shed light that some within the royal quarters considered Prince Harry a threat to the crown. Further, the author claimed the relationship between the two has stooped to a point of no return. Prince Harry accusing Prince William of lunging at him and of physical altercations damaged relations permanently. Furthermore, his no-holds-barred revelations on several media fronts have led the elder brother to stand crossed.

On another end of the stick, Kate Midleton is also resentful of them. The latter’s bombshell claims in Oprah Winfrey’s interview threw any chance of mending the fences outside the window. Furthermore, the Sussexes’ continued exploration of even more media deals at the expense of their Buckingham counterparts is a never-ending bone of contention.
