In the aftermath of ‘Megxit,’ Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have found themselves ensnared in a reciprocal blame game, with fingers pointed toward both Kate Middleton and Prince William. The Prince and Princess of Wales, in their own subtle and stiff upper-lipped way, have contributed to this blame game. Despite three years having gone by, the fingers still remain confused as to who to point at. Earlier this year, Prince Harry, with his memoir, gained sympathy as he revealed in interviews that neither his brother nor his father had made any attempt to mend ties with him.

But Kate Middleton, who has emerged to be the royal family’s subtle spokesperson, begs to differ.

Prince Harry allegedly brushed off Prince William’s attempts to rekindle

While most occasions revolving around the royal family have more than a million watchful eyes on them, the scrutiny, attention, and number have significantly increased since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stepped down from their positions. One such occasion was the funeral of the late Prince Phillip, which was attended by the Duke. A few photos showed the royal trio conversing, and as per former BBC correspondent Jennie Bond’s statements to OK! Magazine, it was an attempt by Prince William and Kate Middleton to fix their relationship with the Spare author.

According to Bond, Middleton believed that the rift could be “fixed.” Furthermore, she even encouraged Prince William to try to get the ball rolling with his brother. This attempt at rekindling old ties failed terribly, as Prince Harry made shocking revelations in his memoir. However, if this is true, then the Duke of Sussex will not be getting the longer side of the stick from fans who sympathized with him.

While these attempts were encouraged by Kate Middleton owing to the previously wholesome relationship she shared with Prince Harry, it seems she will be distancing herself more than she already has from the Sussex drama.

Kate Middleton and Prince William are done with the Sussexes

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were the first to declare that they were stepping out of the royal family. However, since then, there have been numerous reports of them wanting to get back inside. This was especially the case following their million-dollar falloff with Spotify. Things got progressively worse for the couple as they began to lose their friends. All of this combined led many to believe that they were looking for a way back inside the family. However, Prince William and Kate Middleton will not allow that.

While she has remained comparatively quiet, it has been rumored that Kate Middleton was the masked mastermind behind the iconic “recollections may vary” clapback post-Markle and Prince Harry’s Oprah Winfrey interview. Moreover, Prince William was deeply affected by his younger brother’s decision to paint him negatively in his memoir and docuseries. If the Sussexes are planning a royal comeback, it is unlikely that Prince William and Kate Middleton will oblige.
