The Karate Kid: Legends trailer dropped at Comic-Con in New York shows the reunited franchise stars Ralph Macchio's Daniel LaRusso touching down in Beijing after getting tracked down by Jackie Chan’s Mr. Han. Turns out, Han has a new student, Li Fong, and is mentoring him just like Mr. Miyagi did for Daniel. As Daniel and Mr. Han take turns narrating the trailer, it becomes clear that these two legends are teaming up to shape the next Karate Kid according to Variety.
The trailer brings street brawls, dojo showdowns, and a sneak peek at an epic new karate tournament. One standout moment shows Fong taking on a bully in an alley, swinging off a fire escape ladder, and flipping off the wall. Ben Wang, who plays Li Fong, is a real-life martial arts prodigy, who trained in karate, wing chun/kung fu, gumdo, kempo, and taekwondo.
