As Ryan Reynolds rose from being Hollywood's favorite boy next door to a marketing genius who would turn any campaign he touched into gold, the Ryan Reynolds blueprint to success became a widely circulated one in Hollywood. Newcomers studied with hawk-like intent every single joke he made at his own expense in order to give his projects a boost. While this famously came to be called the Ryan Reynolds style, it seems that Justin Theroux has been doing it for longer.

The art of promotion, as Hollywood has come to see, is equally important as the art of making cinematic masterpieces. And Justin Theroux had come to recognize this earlier than the rest as he crafted an extravagant promotional scheme for Tropic Thunder. However, as per the revelation of a good friend of Theroux to In Touch Weekly, noticing just how much success these marketing strategies can bring for him while carefully jotting down Ryan Reynolds' career trajectory, the actor's alleged "wannabe energy" has become noticeable.

The source who claims to be an old friend of the actor reiterated how Theroux has become a tad bit too obsessed with Ryan Reynolds as he stars in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice alongside Jenna Ortega, Winona Ryder, and Monica Belucci. The source further believed that it was in Justin Theroux's best interest if he focused more on himself than trying to replicate someone else's success model.

As the actor's big movie release was followed by that of his wife Blake Lively and audiences cited more than a few instances of the two taking the 'joke' too far, the tower of cards, despite his best efforts, soon came crashing down.

While it is not truly the worst case of Hollywood's downfall for now owing to the two having amassed quite the fanbase, it is definitely a fall from the spotless grace that they not too long ago possessed. In such cases, perhaps Justin Theroux's friend may just be giving him the right advice.
