Recently, during an interview on Kevin Hart’s show, Hart to Heart, Johnson opened up about the reasons for Black Adam’s sequel not panning out. The host, Kevin Hart, asked the Jumanji actor why, despite the successful opening of Black Adam, the movie bit the dust. In response, the Rock ascribed the reasons for the movie’s closure to the “vortex of new leadership”.

According to Johnson, the recent changes in the leadership of DCU, now in control of James Gunn, are the main reason the two DCU actors fell by the wayside. He said, “I think Black Adam is one of those movies that got caught in that web of new leadership,” hinting at the possible cause for Cavill’s exit as well. He also talked about the differences and creative disagreements between the actors and the new leader, which could be why we won’t be seeing Cavill as Superman anymore.

Along with this shattering Superman news, fans were also taken aback by the way Cavill stepped away from his role in The Witcher, and they have expressed their disappointment with their response to the 3rd season of The Witcher.
