Since his separation from the Royal Family, Prince Harry has been facing one chaotic situation after another. Nevertheless, in the middle of all the chaos, the Duke also finds some moments of happiness. For instance, on the 4th of June, the Duke and Duchess, Meghan Markle, celebrated the second birthday of their daughter, Lilibet. But it seemed the Duke missed one of the most important things, the trial date of his battle with the UK media publications.
The author of Spare filed a lawsuit against the publisher of Daily Mirror that began today. The case went to trial, and the Duke was supposed to be present on the opening day at the court. However, as AP News reported, the Duke remained absent during the opening day at the court. Since 1891, Prince Harry would be the first member of the royal family to testify in the High Court. Apparently, the Duke blames the media houses for leaking the information about his mother, Princess Diana, that had her killed in a car crash. He also reported cases of harassment and intervention by the United Kingdom’s media houses. Moreover, because of the racist articles by the press, he and his wife had to leave the UK as well.
He also reported the media houses for unlawfully hacking into his phone in order to find and use pieces of information against him. He has also mentioned details about the same in his memoir, Spare. His anger and frustration for these troubles are running deep and the Prince plans to claim at least £200,000 for the damages made by the media houses.
