Juggling Between Career Halt and Lawsuits, Blake Lively Extends a Helping Hand Amidst LA Fires
2025, like every other year, raised its curtains with the aspirations of fresh editions of marquee events to make the most of the happy hour of the season’s opener. However, for Blake Lively, the curtain call and riser were one and the same with her feet deep in the lawsuit involving Justin Baldoni. Although the actor declared some downtime from Hollywood to cater more to her children alongside Ryan Reynolds, Lively has been since pulling a high-wire act, wearing many hats at a time. Following the devastating LA wildfires, the Gossip Girl album took a step back to offer aid to those affected.
While Lively has always extended a helping hand in times of need, this incident was no exception.

In a disastrous turn, just when Hollywood was gearing in full throttle to pull off a series of high-profile events with Tinseltown stars, the greater Los Angeles region confronted a nightmare-esque round of wildfires. The impact on showbiz is undeniable, with several ceremonies and premieres canceled. Following this tumultuous period, Blake Lively recently took to her Instagram stories to share a Google document comprising contacts and details of volunteers and donation drives working to provide support, rescue, and assistance.
The document offers multiple types of aid, including shelter, animal boarding, and distribution hub options alongside the enlistment of free items available for those heavily affected. With city names and addresses jotted down, catering to different regions of Los Angeles, Lively gave a platform to share Mutual Aid’s laudable effort in piecing together the resources, undergoing constant updates throughout the day.
While some forecasts also predict some A-lister’s exodus, the LA fires left a tremendous blow to the upcoming star-studded events in Hollywood.
How did the LA wildfire impact Hollywood?
After the devastating firestorm in Los Angeles, film premieres of Unstoppable and Wolf Man were canceled on Tuesday alongside an award-season event for Emilia Pérez. Following these, red carpet ceremonies for Better Man, The Pitt, and On Call were also called off on Wednesday.
