Josh Brolin Ignores the Iconic Thanos for This One Character, Says He Wants to Return for It
The heart wants what it wants and for Josh Brolin, if that means pushing his Thanos character under the bus, then be it. Brolin has been quite the character himself in recent years as he took on not just one but two iconic characters in the superhero verse. However, now the fate of both the characters lies in soggy lands.
When pondering on his journey in the Marvel Odyssey, the actor did not have to give much thought before choosing one character over the others, and spoiler alert, it was not Thanos.

Josh Brolin has left quite a large handprint on both Thanos and Cable. While the former met his demise in Avengers: Endgame, the scene got tricky when the latter was absent from Deadpool & Wolverine. An eminent force of the blockbuster that was Deadpool 2, Brolin's Cable was missing from all the teasers, posters, and, well, the entire phenomenon that the movie has come to be. While speaking to Bingeworthy TV podcast's host Mike DeAngelo, the actor revealed he "so wanted to be in that movie."
While the actor went on to remark how the Marvel Cinematic Universe is quite the complex labyrinth and that he does not know why he was not a part of the movie, many feel like it is just a cover. Brolin is listed on Deadpool & Wolverine's IMDb page and also in cahoots with Ryan Reynolds. Moreover, the audiences loved him in Deadpool 2, leaving not many reasons for him to not star in the upcoming movie.
It is unclear whether Josh Brolin will return as Cable in Deadpool & Wolverine, but that he is excited for the release and Hugh Jackman's return is pretty evident.

Warding off any rumors of his Deadpool & Wolverine involvement, Josh Brolin focused on his other ventures. However, neither Marvel nor the fear of a possible leak could stop Brolin from expressing his love for Hugh Jackman. Known for being Ryan Reynolds' pal and throwing around playground insults, the actor switched sides as he waxed poetic about Jackman. "I'm a big fan of his," remarked Brolin.
The Thanos actor also expressed his bewilderment at Hugh Jackman's ability to remain ever so youthful. Fans could not agree with him after witnessing him in the trailer and the slew of training pictures that he had posted. Whatever the case, it is clear that Josh Brolin is sure to be watching Deadpool & Wolverine either for his own performance or Jackman's.
