But the reason behind the couple losing their former wedding location has nothing to do with them, and everything to do with George Clooney.

According to reports from an Italian magazine called Oggi, it was revealed that George Clooney had put his $100 million Lake Como mansion on sale. It was a real estate agent named, Yasein Baysal of Engel & Volkers that broke the news. There have been many rumors about Clooney selling his Villa Oleandra over the years, but this time the agent said that it was “true.”

While she went on to say that it was not her who was handling the sale of the house, she refused to reveal who the actual agent was. So far, the only confirmation has come from Italian sources that claim that the sale is really happening, which means the actor is selling a house he has owned for 21 years. But while it may be a busy time for the Oceans 11 actor, there are a few of his friends and acquaintances who might not be too happy about this latest update.

With a mansion so lavish and even at a prime location, it is no wonder that many celebrities head to Lake Como to tie the knot. One of those couples just happens to be John Krasinski and Emily Blunt, who not only got married at Lake Como, but right at George Clooney’s Villa.

During an interview with Howard Stern, Emily Blunt opened up about Clooney offering up his house.

She revealed that Clooney has asked the couple on numerous occasions if they’d like to have his mansion to be their wedding spot. While they initially thought he was joking, around the fourth time he asked, Krasinski jumped in and said yes. Though fans have still not seen all the pictures from the wedding, the ones they got were absolutely stunning. And they even got a little bit of an inside look at the friendship between the trio.
