The strikes led to the production of numerous anticipated shows and movies coming to a halt, including fan-favorite series like Stranger Things. However, it also served as a golden opportunity for past shows to bring back their popularity. This is exactly what went down with the American Legal drama series by Aaron Korsh. Suits saw a surge in popularity with a viewership of 2.5 billion minutes on Netflix, outshining the record-breaking show One Piece. In the latest episode of Fallon’s talk show, the host addressed this with a hilarious spin on it.
Fallon started his show by talking about the strike and its impact on Hollywood. The 49-year-old congratulated all the writers for getting their fair deal and also cracked some jokes about the whole fiasco. The host further went on to say that the studios reached the deal because they realized, “we got to end this now, or it is another three months of watching Suits”.
While Fallon had Matthew McConaughey and John Mayer as his first-night guests, Arnold Schwarzenegger showed up at another late-night talk show.

After a five-month absence, Jimmy Kimmel is back with his ABC show, Jimmy Kimmel Live. To kick-off his show, the host welcomed Schwarzenegger on Monday night, along with musical guest Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit. The 55-year-old started his show with a lengthy monologue, stating how grateful he was to be back following the strike. He then went on to show a skit with the Austrian Oak and a “you’ll be back” joke referencing The Terminator.
On his guest appearance, the former bodybuilder promoted his book on parenting, Be Useful: Seven Tools For Life, and talked about him as a father. The 76-year-old revealed that he was a “strict father” in his early days as a parent. He also talked about how he laid out a set of rules for his children that included making one’s own bed, cleaning scrub showers, cleaning toilets, and washing one’s own clothes.
