Jennifer Aniston With Adele and Barack Obama Amongst Others Have All Taken This Step Towards a Better Life

The timeless radiance Jennifer Aniston exudes to this day is what makes her one of Hollywood’s most evergreen faces. So, the Friends sensation certainly must have some tricks up her sleeve that keep her looking this alluring. While she has previously revealed the activities she indulged in to stay in her prime fitness, one thing that she stopped doing in the 2000s might just be the biggest aid to her youthful appearance. 

Unsurprisingly, Jennifer Aniston is not the only anti-ambassador of this habit, but several prominent names also share the same sentiment.

One thing that Adele, Barack Obama and Aniston all have in common is the fact that they used to be smokers. However, each of these A-listers quit the addictive habit to improve their lifestyle. Jennifer Aniston is believed to have quit smoking in 2007. Instead, she shifted her focus onto exercising through yoga. Furthermore, she detailed her journey of de-addiction in the introduction chapter of her yoga trainer’s book titled Yogalosophy.

In the intro, the 54-year-old explained how practicing yoga regularly helped her not only slow down her smoking but also her caffeine addiction. The calming and energizing effects of the ancient practice helped her relax her mind and simultaneously let go of the habit of turning to cigarettes for relaxation. Her close encounters with addiction also gave her the resources to help out another Friends co-star with his addiction struggles. 

Previously, Matthew Perry had revealed how Aniston was instrumental in providing support during his battle with addiction.

One year before tragically passing away, Matthew Perry wrote his memoir, Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing. In it, the 17 Again actor detailed his time battling substance abuse and how Jennifer Aniston held his hand throughout it. Later, through an interview with ABC News, he also revealed Aniston to be the person who “reached out the most” when he was fighting his toughest battles. 

Aniston was the one co-star from Friends whom Perry had known the longest. As somebody who had gone through a similar process, the Murder Mystery actress possibly realized the need for a close circle that assists one through their de-addiction journey. The way in which she conquered her addiction to smoking and caffeine, she was probably the best person to keep tabs on him during that time anyway.
