Jennifer Aniston Once Revealed Her Thoughts on the Film That Introduced Her to the World
Jennifer Aniston might be one of the most prominent stars in Hollywood. However, that was not always the case. Just like most celebrities before her, the actress had her fair share of mediocre roles and films that are buried in her past. While she might be remembered for her portrayal of Rachel Green on the NBC sitcom, Friends, it was not her first time on the big screen.
The 54-year-old once recalled what she thought about her first film as a supporting actor.

Back in 2021, Jennifer Aniston sat down with InStyle to talk about her decades-long career. While they touched on her camaraderie with Adam Sandler and her latest projects, the actress could not help but look back at her first big break. It was in the film, Leprechaun, that she made her acting debut in 1993. While the horror comedy put her in the spotlight alongside Warwick Davis, she revealed that she found it “embarrassing.”
After all, the story was about an evil and homicidal leprechaun who ended up going on a killing spree to find his pot of gold. While the film had come out in the mid-nineties, the actress had rewatched it back in 2018-19 with her now ex-husband, Justin Theroux. Although most preferences tend to change with time, she revealed that she was “cringing” throughout the film.
With the film being a part of a franchise, fans have wondered why the Just Go With It star chose not to return and be a part of another Leprechaun film again.

With 3 decades having gone by since Jennifer Aniston starred in Leprechaun, fans were hoping to see the star in all her glory just once more. However, with the franchise having ended, those dreams were put to rest. Although years after all the dust settled on the films, the actress opened up about why she was not interested in going back for a sequel or even a cameo. While she had enjoyed her time there, she revealed in 2023 that she “had had it with leprechauns.”
Although she may have cleared the air around why she never went back, it still left her fans a little heartbroken. After all, she might not have loved the film or even her role, but evidently, the viewers were continuously eating it up. Fans might never get a franchise quite like this one. However, thankfully Aniston’s career has still been going strong ever since she teamed up with Reese Witherspoon once more.
