Jennifer Aniston Once Revealed Her Regrets About Taking on Some Hollywood Projects
The Hollywood career of Jennifer Aniston boasts of mostly iconic highs with a rare few box office duds sprinkled in the mix. On the success side, Friends remains her crown jewel having garnered global acclaim and multiple awards. Meanwhile, flicks like Horrible Bosses and The Proposal were deemed rom-com hits. Some films may have missed the mark, yet even in weaker projects, her dedication was evident. While personal tastes vary, most viewers are fans of her relatable charm and dramatic chops.
Still, when the 55-year-old looked back at her past once, she turned into her own strongest critique.

In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar in 2016, Aniston revealed her hopes to adopt a new attitude in life. She felt like she had been “a bit of a people pleaser” in the past which may have led her to say yes to some projects she did not want to. Apparently, “some of the movies” in her portfolio made her want to bow her head in “slight shame”.
After all, not all of her ventures sparkled. Although she refrained from name-dropping any movies, some like Just Go With It and Life of Crime are known to have underperformed critically and commercially. Also, though praised for her dramatic turn in The Good Girl, the 2002 movie failed to find a wider audience. According to her, the times when she “worked and worked” were gone and she was ready to be more assertive.
Besides revealing her regrets, Aniston also shed light on her dreams of the future that are yet to come true.

In the same interview, the We’re the Millers star confessed her dreams of starring in a flick with Julia Roberts. While addressing the “tease” of a mini-sequence they shared on Mother’s Day in 2016, she remarked that she wanted much more than that mere “moment”. Even in Roberts’ Friends cameo, the majority of her screen time was shared with Matthew Perry’s Chandler, and even that took a lot of effort on Perry’s part.
Another actress Aniston was “dying to work with” was Emma Stone. But in Stone’s case, she and Aniston have never shared the screen for a Hollywood project except for a Saturday Night Live segment they did together. So, till now, the hopes Aniston laid out in 2016 have not met fruition. If they did, a flick combining Aniston’s star power and acting prowess with either of these megacelebrities is bound to make headlines.
