While the actress has managed to stick around through the decades, she was not always sure that her career would last for so long. In fact, years ago, even before the 55-year-old shot to stardom on the 90s NBC sitcom, she once ended up discussing the uncertainty of her career.
Despite Aniston’s enduring success, the actress did not always seem to think that she would make it in the entertainment industry.

Just two years after Jennifer Aniston had broken into the Hollywood industry with an uncredited role in Mac and Me, the actress ended up getting candid about the future of her career. In a 1990 interview with E! News, she opened up about the fears she had about her career. The actress revealed she thought that acting was a “scary business” because “you never know where you’re going to be.”
Aniston continued, “You might be back working in a restaurant around the corner.” Thankfully, that was not the case for the star. After all, just four years later she ended up bagging the role of Rachel Green on the NBC sitcom, Friends. While the show might have put her on the map, the now 55-year-old has managed to keep her spot among the rest of Hollywood’s fan favorites.
In fact, just a few hours ago, the actress proved that she is still one of the world’s favorite stars as she bagged a surprising People’s Choice Award.

At the People’s Choice Awards last night, Friends star Jennifer Aniston was on the nominee list for two categories- Female TV Star of the Year and Drama TV Star of the Year for her role on The Morning Show with Reese Witherspoon. Shortly after the actress had presented her long-time friend, Adam Sandler with the People’s Icon award, the actress ended up winning one of her own.

Aniston ended up going home as the Drama TV Star of the Year. The moment must have been a special one for the star after the disappointment the third season of her show had brought. However, in that moment, there is no doubt that the 55-year-old’s decision to make a TV comeback ended up proving to be the right choice for her.
