From doing several odd jobs to becoming one of the most recognized faces globally, Jennifer Aniston charted a career trajectory for herself that many dream of. However, for the poster girl of the sitcom genre, things started to spiral out of control close on the heels of her 2005 divorce from Brad Pitt. Speaking to Allure magazine, the Rachel Green actress opened up in a December 2022 interview on the “narrative that I was just selfish” taking commonplace in the media following the separation.
Although Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt fell out mutually, an unwanted consensus fanned out that her reluctance to bear kids was a major factor. Ironically, the truth came across as the polar opposite. “I was trying to get pregnant,” the Friends star spoke out. Shedding light that she tried everything from IVF to “drinking Chinese teas,” the false narrative crossed and hurt her. Rather, she outright labeled those moments in her “late 30s, 40s” as one where “I’d gone through really hard sh*t”.
Regardless of the spurious allegations, the controversies fell out in time, and as of now, at 54 years of age, she still stays en route to success.
