Jennifer Aniston’s ‘Crown Jewel’: ‘Friend’s Icon’s $2.6 Million Residence Lands in Real Estate Market
It is not new for celebrities to acquire massive properties. However, there has been a major shift in their real-estate habits lately. Nowadays, more celebrities are leaning toward house flipping rather than long-term ownership. Take Jennifer Aniston, for instance. Aniston has been diving into big projects in the California real estate game for a while now, and she appears to be obsessed with this new trend. After selling her Bel-Air mansion for a whopping $75 million, one of her former abodes has landed in the real estate market.
Jennifer Aniston has an impressive real-estate portfolio, much like any other celebrity of her stature. However, this hilltop house, also dubbed as the ‘Crown Jewel of Laurel Canyon’, holds a special place as one of Aniston’s early homes from her Friends days.

Dating back to 1936, the historic Laurel Canyon estate has been a haven for several notable Hollywood personalities. Currently on the market for $2.595 million, Aniston’s former home had its last transaction in 2020 at $2 million, according to property records. Wendy Moore, who is handling the listing, shared in a press release that Aniston’s former home holds a special place as a “personal favorite” because of its “breathtaking view” and “mesmerizing backdrop”.
The house encompassed four bedrooms and four bathrooms within its footprint of less than 6,000 square feet. The property also features an A-frame guest house, a pool house, and an office slash studio. Over the past twenty years, Jennifer Aniston has owned six properties, among which she has sold three. The latest real estate possession of the Friends alum was Oprah Winfrey’s Montecito farmhouse, which she bought in the year 2022.
Aniston’s decision to buy a property in this neighborhood drew significant attention due to her neighbor being Meghan Markle, with whom she was rumored to have a long-standing feud.

Jennifer Aniston and Meghan Markle have long been rumored to have a rift, stemming from their brief encounter in Horrible Bosses. Contrary to speculation, a source from Heat Magazine revealed that both Aniston and the Sussexes were “excited” to be neighbors. The neighborhood also happened to be a home of celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow, Ellen DeGeneres, Katy Perry, and Ariana Grande.
Aniston heard great things about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle through Oprah Winfrey, the owner of the house, and was looking forward to connecting with the Sussexes, as per the source. Oprah Winfrey sold only one part of Montecito Farmhouse and the other part belonged to her personal trainer and property manager, Bob Greene. The question is, however, whether Aniston sees this as her forever home or just a part of her house-flipping strategy, like the LA Crown Jewel.
