Jennifer Aniston Clarifies Her Position on Anti-Semitism After Facing Backlash For Liking This Artist’s Post

Yesterday, Jamie Foxx took to Instagram to vent some anger he was feeling at being betrayed by somebody in a now-deleted post. Although it is unclear who he was referring to, his words were deemed anti-Semitic. But what stood out to users was that Jennifer Aniston had liked the said post. Eventually facing criticism along with the singer, she chose to share her thoughts on it all through her Instagram story.
Beginning with a rather contradictory statement, she says she did not like Foxx’s post accidentally or on purpose. Addressing the main issue, she reiterates that she does not support any type of anti-semitism or tolerate hate. Clearly distressed, the Friends star ends the message with a resounding “Period” to emphasize her stance on the matter.
Fans are now wondering why Jamie Foxx would post something so controversial in nature. And to answer their questions, Foxx has taken to his own Instagram story to do so.

Although the Day Shift actor took down the post soon after posting, the damage was already done. Users who had set eyes on the post continued to barrage him with questions about its contents. In an attempt to clear up the misunderstanding, Foxx posts a message to his story saying that the post isn’t about the Jewish community in the first place.

The 55-year-old apologizes while explaining that he was feeling betrayed by a “fake friend” who he was referring to in the post. Everybody knows that the internet can blow a misunderstanding out of proportion in a matter of seconds. It seems like Jennifer Aniston was just collateral damage to somebody else’s misunderstood words.
