Jenna Ortega’s Hollywood takeover is in full swing, but she once had a brief role in the MCU. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Ortega sat down with Paul Rudd, where the topic of Marvel came up. When asked about joining the franchise again, she dismissed it with a laugh, recalling how her scene in Iron Man 3 made the cut. “They took all my lines out,” she revealed. She played the vice president’s daughter, and even her character’s name did not survive the final edit.
Paul Rudd, the MCU’s beloved Ant-Man, tried to keep things light, suggesting Marvel might find a way to bring Ortega back. But she was not buying it. Ortega did not seem convinced. “I count that, then I move on,” she said, closing the door on any hope of a return. Despite Iron Man 3 raking in over $1.2 billion at the global box office, Ortega seemed unfazed. With her career soaring, it looks like the MCU chapter might be one she is happy to leave behind.
