Joining the likes of those Jenna Ortega and Elle Fanning also got candid about how the stories of female characters need to change.

Nowadays, television portrays women as badass, strong, and intelligent to give them recognition of the talent they behold. However, this thing is somehow going too far from reality, believes Ortega and Fanning. The budding actresses recently picked this whole hype, becoming the essence of movies and shows during their interview with Variety.

In this honest conversation, The Great star recalled her show in which she played Catherine. Fanning stated that she liked the character because it was not the ideal version of females that are usually depicted in shows and movies. Joining her, the scream queen spoke up that people like to see characters that they can feel relatable to.

Ortega gave an example of a scene where cars are blowing up in the background while the character is walking. “It looks beautiful but I don’t know about her so it’s had to develop some sort of admiration or connection with women,” she added. Well, it looks like the 20-year-old has much to say to this world that she said in her show.

But the young actor has a very different view of it and she feels it’s ugly. She recalled the time when her first agency used to take them for media training.

Jenna Ortega did not like that instead of letting people see her talent, everyone taught her to engage people with social media posts. It was the first thing people asked her at auditions how many social media followers she has.
