It is difficult to keep up with fan favoritism in a world where the attention span has shrunk to a new low, especially for projects drawn out over multiple seasons. Yet, The White Lotus has become a cult classic for generations alike, prompting fans to pause and dwell in the gritty mysteries of the unknown. However, the ongoing installment, particularly a bare-it-all scene from the most recent episode starring Jason Isaacs, has sparked unforeseen questions, prompting the actor to slam the hypocrisy, comparing and contrasting with Margaret Qualley’s The Substance.

After The White Lotus season 3 episode 4 release, Jason Isaacs was reportedly flooded with questions about whether his character wore a “prosthetic pe---” for the bare-it-all scene in his bathrobe in front of his children. Despite Sam Nivola and Sarah Catherine Hook’s confirmation to TV Insider, Isaacs remained the talk of the town. When asked on CBS Mornings, Isaacs addressed the backlash “all over the internet,” blasting at the “double standard,” comparing it to Margaret Qualley in The Substance.

“When women are na---, Margaret Qualley as well, in The Substance, nobody would dream of talking to her about her geni-----,” Isaacs stressed. The actor additionally drew correlations to the Oscar-winner Mikey Madison, highlighting her on-screen exposure to criticize the selective outrage. Isaacs was critical of the "obsession" and debate surrounding his bathrobe scene. Sam Nivola and Sarah Catherine Hook, who portray Timothy Ratcliff’s children in The White Lotus, told TV Insider that shooting the scene where Isaacs wore the prosthetics was "really funny." They even highlighted Isaacs’ enthusiasm for the scene. However, it turns out, not every cause of excitement pays out in ways the artists want, and this is probably just another example.
