The hosts of SmartLess, Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, and Sean Hayes have been friends for a long time and began podcasting together during the peak of the COVID pandemic. Within a few years, the podcast became so popular that it managed to bring in many reputed figures for interviews. Ahead of the biggest political event in the US, Bateman and his crew helped make a historical moment possible. 

The trio are all set to shock their listeners all over the globe as they managed to interview three of US presidents in the same episode. 

US President Joe Biden and former presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton held a huge fundraiser in New York City. They raised over $25 million, according to Biden’s re-election campaign. But before the big night, the three presidents did something never seen before. President Joe Biden and former presidents joined Bateman, Will Arnett, and Sean Hayes on SmartLess on Thursday while they were all in New York. 

The episode will be aired at a later date, as announced by the White House. This will not be Biden’s first appearance on the podcast as he made an appearance on the show in October 2022. The event, including the podcast recording, marked a very rare occurrence where Biden, Obama, and Clinton were seen together in the same room. It is almost strange to think that Bateman once thought this podcast was a "dumb idea!"

Bateman once mentioned how he was unsure about starting his own podcast, never expecting it to become so popular.

Over the years, Jason Bateman's podcast has hosted numerous celebrities, including David Letterman, President Joe Biden, and Kumail Nanjiani. However, before starting his SmartLess tour with Will Arnett and Sean Hayes in 2022, Bateman told on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that he initially found the podcast concept "insane". He also revealed to Kimmel their plan to film a two-part documentary for Discovery+ during the tour and that he was afraid it would "turn into some cheesy Big Brother episode." 

The podcast's authentic style and the enjoyable rapport between the three actors, however, made it a big hit. Jason Bateman could not quite understand why people pay to listen to “three idiots” chatting. It is interesting to think about how he feels now that three presidents are interested in talking to those “three idiots” too.
