The world has been seeing Jada Pinkett Smith in the spotlight since her surprising revelations about her marriage to Will Smith came out earlier this month. While a lot has happened since then, not everyone has completely recovered from her disclosure. Now, The Matrix star is back in the limelight. However, this time it was because she welcomed Britney Spears to the “bad ass women memoir club” in a post on Instagram. The Worthy author shared a clip of the two from back in 2004.
She even captioned it, “Who knew we would be back on a different stage, sharing our journeys on the page. I can’t WAIT to read your book Britney and I’m sending you love on your pub day … congrats.” Shortly after Smith launched her memoir, Spears came out with one of her own. The memoir, The Woman In Me, gives her fans a peek into her life before the conservatorship locked her away from the world.
While the Red Table Talk host had congratulated the ‘Womanizer’ singer, it was the throwback video that garnered attention.

Back in 2004, Jada Pinkett Smith was a part of a band called Wicked Wisdom. Luckily for the group, they had a chance to open for Britney Spears. In fact, they were the opening act of the night. While the band did not ever make it big, they did end up releasing two albums. However, being the openers for one of pop’s biggest stars was definitely the highlight of their musical career.

Now, 19 years later, both women are back to sharing the same stage once again. While Worthy has already made its way to the bestsellers list in a few short weeks, fans will have to wait and see if Britney Spear’s memoir can reach the same heights as Worthy or even Prince Harry’s Spare.
